Plum Torte (Marian Burros/NYTimes)

The Plum Torte from Marian Burros & the New York Times is, of course, a classic. Have made it several times, always to good results.

July 15.

No changes to the recipe aside from a dash of vanilla, and being a bit loose with the sugar and flour measurements. Plums were very big and very ripe.

One of the prettiest things I've baked in a while.
