Site Tasks

A running list of To-Dos and items to explore for the site. Some of these are the result of using a pre-built theme; others are items I’d like to implement.

Currently Working On

• Embedding Mastodon posts.
  • Can embed a single post. Now, what should a thread look like?
  • Fix import of images in a post’s card.
• Tweak theme colors – would like a slightly lighter palette for dark mode, and vice-versa.
  • Started working on a new scheme on 2025-02-02. Not sure if this is light mode or dark (or if it matters), but I like the direction! Still a lot of work.

Future plans

• Front page
  • Add image thumbnail to post blurbs, if image is present
• Tweak font and font sizes – not always the easiest to read.
• Fix sorting of posts on the front page. Currently, two posts written on the same day do not default to last published on top.
• Adding a dropdown menu to navbar.
• Automating some aspects of posting and site maintenance
  • Create a basic template for posts with a bash script for creating
• /pinned adjustments
  • Tweak style on /pinned to make more readable.
  • Use collections (?) to better organize?
